This, a first course in use of computer graphics, provides an excellent
overview of the kinds of software that may be used for acquisition, display
and editing of digital images.
During the course, the student will:

Learn to insert images into Microsoft Word documents.
Make extensive and varied use of a simple, graphics formatting and printing
program, Sierra Print Artist Gold.
The student will learn about image formats; bmp, jpg, and gif.
As time permits, some hands-on experience with an image SCANNER will be
possible.
Work output from each class session may be printed or copied for use at
home.

At the end of this course, students should understand graphics processing
well enough to consider purchase of the course software or similar programs
for future work.
